Zečić Očalinko
Specky the Bunny
Gledam jednog zečića,naočale ima.Zbog toga je, vjerujte, mrkva bila kriva.
I see a little bunnywith glasses on his face;believe me, it's the carrotthat's to blame in this case.
Za razlog me pitate?Reći ću vam svima:nije mrkvu grickao, istina je živa.
You ask me for the reason?I'll tell you all the truth:he never nibbled carrots, not once in all his youth!
Ja vas molim, maleni, slušajte me sada:često mrkvu jedite,da ne bude jada!
Little ones, I beg you, listen now to me:eat your carrots often, and no woe you'll see!
Translator's note. The name Očalinko comes from naočale, "glasses".
