The School Bag

Nije teška, vjerujte,svi je đaci nose,a znanja je prepunakao cvijeće rose.

It's not heavy, honestly,every pupil bears it too,and it's brimming full of knowledgelike the flowers full of dew.

Školska torba zna baš sve:pjesmice i štiva,sve račune, zemljovid,i sve što se zbiva.

The school bag knows everything:little poems, reading, sums;every map it knows as well,all that happens, all that comes.

Ne treba se čuditi,ona mora znati,da bi mogla đacimato bogatstvo dati.

There's no need to feel surprised,for it has to know it all,so that it can give this treasureto the pupils, great and small.

S odličnim bi uspjehomprošla škola svaka,kad bi torba odgovordala mjesto đaka.

Every school would pass with honours,every single one,if the school bag gave the answersand the pupils none.
