U Slatini jedandobar zeko ima,svu malenu djecurado k sebi prima.

In Slatina livesa bunny, good and dear;all the little childrenhe gladly welcomes here.

Tako vam se zoveu Slatini vrtić,tu se djeca igrajuil' gledaju crtić.

That's the very nameof Slatina's nursery school;here the children playor watch cartoons, as a rule.

I taj dobri „ZEKO“,neka je na znanje,na hranu djecu primai na stanovanje.

And good old "ZEKO",let it be known, I say,takes children in for boardand lodging through the day.

Sve su tete drage,one na njih paze,sa njima se igraju,pomalo ih maze.

All the aunties are sweet,they watch them with great care,they play along with themand cuddle them here and there.

Kada se naigraju,onda slatko papaju,pa u krevet pođudok po njih ne dođu.

When they've played their fill,they tuck in with a will,then off to bed they creep,till they're fetched from sleep.

Translator's note. Zeko ("Bunny") is a kindergarten in Slatina; the children's teachers are the tete, "aunties".
