Belišće je gradićna obali Drave,nakon divnih snova,sviću zore plave.

Belišće's a small townon the Drava's shore;after lovely dreamingblue dawns break once more.

U Belišću gradu„Maslačak“ postoji,svakog jutra djecuoko sebe roji.

In Belišće town"Maslačak" is found;each morning it gatherschildren swarming round.

U tome „Maslačku“dobrih teta ima,tu se djeca igrajui lijepo je njima.

In that "Maslačak"kindly aunties stay;here the children, happy,spend their time at play.

Čitaju i pišu,igri nema krajai crtiće gledaju,to je dio raja!

They read and they write,games go on all day,they watch cartoons too:paradise, I'd say!

Drage prijateljesvi ovdje imaju,a kada se umore,papaju i spavaju.

Everyone has friendshere, dear friends and true;and when they get tired,they munch, and snooze too.

Taj Maslačak nije cvijetak,a nije ni crtić.Ma to vam je, djeco,BELIŠĆANSKI VRTIĆ!

This Maslačak is no flower,nor a cartoon show:it's BELIŠĆE'S KINDERGARTEN,children, now you know!

Translator's note. Maslačak ("Dandelion") is a kindergarten in Belišće, a small town on the Drava near Valpovo; Croatian children call their kindergarten teachers tete, "aunties".
