I Want My Voice to Be Heard

Četvrtoga listopadadvije tisuć' jedanaeste,bio sam u Berku tada,gledao gdje mladost raste.

On October's fourth, back whenit was two thousand and eleven,I was there in Berak then,watching how the young ones grow.

Udruga je „LUČ“ iz Berkamnogo djece sakupilajesenjega divnog danadjeci radost priredila.

Berak's association, "Luč",gathered many a girl and boy,and one lovely autumn daybrought the children so much joy.

U Berku je bila jednavažna smotra dječjeg tjedna.„Imam pravo da se čuje,da i moj glas odjekuje!“

In Berak there then took placean important Children's Week showcase."It's my right to be heard too,and to have my voice ring through!"

Vjerujte mi djeco sada,to je bila divna priča,skupila se djeca tamoškole Berka i vrtića.

Children, now you may believe me,it's a lovely tale, all true:children gathered there togetherfrom Berak's school and nursery too.

Iz vrtića STRIBOROVAVinkovačka djeca bila,svojom igrom i nastupompriredbu su ukrasila.

From the Striborova nurserycame the Vinkovci children too,and their games and their performancegraced the programme through and through.

Bogatija da bi bilai vrjednija igra ova,pomog'o je svojim radompjesnik Ivo iz Valpova.

So this play might be the richerand more worthy as a show,helping with his work was Ivo,the poet from Valpovo.

U veselju toga skupa,i dok glazba tiho svira,sretna djeca s balonimaporuku su slali mira.

In the gladness of that meeting,while the music played so soft,happy children with balloonssent a message of peace aloft.

Pa su zatim crtežimaukrasili zid od škole.Vesela su djeca bila,jer sve igre oni vole.

Then, with drawings, in their turn,they adorned the schoolhouse wall.Merry were the children, forthey love games, and love them all.

Priredba je ova divnaprošetala već do kraja,sa porukom da „LUČ“ Berakpruži djeci opet raja.

This delightful show has nowstrolled along until it's through,with the message: may Berak's "Luč"give the children heaven anew.
