Sve se "Čaje" okupiše

Ivankovo, so gentle and so dear,has decked Slavonia with beauty here.The Šokci here have long been honoured, sothey celebrate their customs, all on show.So that the feast be whole, as feasts should go,societies perform, a public show.

"POTKOVE", too, have played their part with pride,and through Ivankovo at a trot they ride,when hoofbeats echo loudly all around,and on the lane the dust sinks to the ground.

Then at Bošnjak's the parade comes to a stand,and "ČAJE" reach the cinema hall as planned.The crier beats his drum for "ČAJE"'s name:a Šokac celebration, he'll proclaim.Since "ČAJE"'s founding fifteen summers passed,and so these festive days are here at last.They cherish all this beauty, and the mostwhen leading wedding guests, a merry host.

The age-old crafts, well known from long ago,will in the sports hall now put on their show.KUD "ŠUMARI" will whirl the kolo round,and "PANJEVI" will make their songs resound.The male-voice choir, the "ORNICE", as well,whose songs the tales of olden times retell,tonight will give the beauty that they bring,and make Ivankovo the song they sing.

Ivan Benak, poet of Valpovo,has written many lovely dreams, you know;three anthems has our Ivo penned with pride,six books as well, and he is satisfied.Three of my books have varied themes throughout,and three are for children, there's no doubt.Sixteen of my poems are set to song,and played in public, tamburas strumming strong.When players strike that tune so widely known,"DON'T WAKE ME EARLY, MOTHER", all my own,it brings me back that old love from before,and then the bećar's heart will dance once more.

That lovely troupe, the "PERUNIKE", bright,are Ivankovo's special pride and delight.Across Slavonia often they appearand give the public all their beauty here.The "PERUNIKE" are nature's gift, so fair,and Marija Cavor chose them with such care.

"RAVNICA" is Subotica's pride and fame,on stage a star of truly great acclaim.And when the Bunjevac kolo starts to go,a girl cries out: "Come here to me, my beau!"

Vinkovci's trade-school girls are coming too,to give the audience what it loves to view:all dressed up for a fashion show parade,like dolls, in lovely clothing all arrayed.

Paško Mali Barunčić knew the way,and set a wedding record on his day:at that wedding none was happier than he:he kissed the bride five hundred times, with glee!

Jozo Penić performs today, his first,his heart with sheer delight is fit to burst!

The true KUD, "IVAN GORAN KOVAČIĆ", herenow marks its anniversary this year.For fifty years or so they've been around;may fifty more in glory yet be found.They dance the kolo, and the tamburas play;not even "LADO" outshines them any day.For this great feast, this KUD our THANKS has won:this beauty is what Ksenija has done.
