Daleko sam od mog sela,al' me srce k njemu vuče.Još se sjećam onih dana,kad sam bio tu kod kuće.
I am far from my own village,but my heart pulls me that way;I remember still the timewhen at home I used to stay.
Nekada je škola bila,stara zgrada, ružna slika,a sada je novo zdanje,našem Sopju čast i dika.
There was once a school, a buildingold and ugly to the sight;now there stands a brand-new structure,Sopje's honour and delight.
Kad riđani Sopjem prođu,a prašina vidik gasi.Sagradili novu cestu,pa sad asfalt Sopje krasi.
Chestnut horses crossing Sopjeraised a dust that dimmed the view;then they built a road, and asphaltgraces Sopje, smooth and new.
Nekada je na toj cestiMišin Marko cestar bio,ali kako rupa nema,ostavku bi sad dobio.
Mišin Marko was the roadmanon that road in days of old;but since now there are no potholes,he'd be sacked, if truth be told.
U snovima i sad vidimuspomene one mile,kad su cure na Vidovo,ispred crkve kolo vile.
Even now in dreams I seethose dear memories once more:how the girls, on Vidovo,danced the kolo by the church door.
KUD Podravac Sopje krasi,kolo plešu folkloraši,Slavonijom nastupaju,a prate ih tamburaši.

Iza onog drugog ratanogomet su osnovali,četrdeset šestog ljeta„Podravac“ mu ime dali.
Once the second war was over,football was established here;back in nineteen forty-six,it was named "Podravac" that year.
Ne znam što bi još trebalo,od kulturne zanimacije,pa imaju i udruguod "Sportske rekreacije".
I don't know what more they'd needfor a cultured occupation,since they even have a clubknown as "Sports Recreation".
Divna zgrada Sopje krasi,a prostora treba svima.Općina se tu smjestilai kulturi mjesta ima.
A fine building graces Sopje,everybody needs some space:the Municipality's moved in,culture, too, has found its place.
Sve uspjehe toga kraja,ljepota im na vidiku.To što Sopje srcem stvara,Općini je to na diku.
All the triumphs of that region,all their beauty, seen far and wide:what Sopje creates with heartis the Municipality's pride.
