Kao nekad nismo više mladii starački nek' nas minu jadi,sretnih dana neka bude višei veselja da se lakše diše.
We are not young, the way we were before;and may the woes of age pass by our door;may we have happy days, and more of these,and joy, so we may breathe with greater ease.
Nek Ti pruži sada knjiga ova,malo sreće, puno divnih snova,svakog dana kad zora zarudi,sretnu, vedru nek' te sunce budi!
May this, my book, bring you from its storea little joy, and lovely dreams galore;and every day, as dawn grows red with light,may the sun wake you cheerful, glad and bright!
