Poštovani prijatelju Željko
Occasional verse and dedications
Dear Friend Željko
Telefon je zazvonio, predivni se glas javio, imenom se predstavio,da bih znao tko je bio.
Once the telephone rang, and lo,a delightful voice said "Hello",introduced itself, and sowhose it was I'd come to know.
Oprostite gospon' Ivo,da bismo se upoznali, mislim da vam nije krivo, ako bi za mene znali.
"Mister Ivo, pardon me,so that we might meet, I call;I believe you'd hardly becross to know of me at all."
I čovjek se predstavio,a meni je drago bilo.On mi pjesmu izvodioi zbog tog sam sretan bio.
Then the man made his name clear, and how glad I was to hear!He had sung my song, and herewas the cause of all my cheer.
Witovsky se Željko zove, divno moju pjesmu poje, ostvario moje snove, hvala mu od strane moje.
Željko Witovsky, that's who,and he sings my song so fine;he has made my dreams come true,so he has these thanks of mine.
Ova moja knjiga mila,što je meni radost dalai ona će sretna biti, kad mu bude rekla: hvala!
This dear book of mine as well, which has cheered me through and through, will be happy, too, the dayit can say to him: "Thank you!"
