Nek' Vam bude veselo i živo,pozdravlja vas pjesnik Benak Ivo.Često gledam Slavonsko veselje,tamburaši ispunjaju želje.Goran vodi priredbu uživo,pokrovitelj Osječko je pivo.Podmiruju obaveze svoje,a pred Lacom dvije boce stoje.Osječkoga što se rado pije,u Hrvatskoj to je najstarije.Da Vam kažem nešto o pivari:od davnina temelji joj stari.Kad bi znali, dragi ljudi moji,kol'ko ljeta pivovara broji?Godine je sagrađena jedne:šest stotina devedeset sedme.To je bilo sedamnaestog vijeka,u ŠAMAČKOJ ulici Osijeka.Dvadesetak koraka uz Dravu,sagradio ŠEPER pivovaru.Nakon ručka kad je dobro jelo,rado pijem ja Osječko bijelo.Al' kad auto ja vozim uživo,onda pijem samo BAJKER pivo.Pa i Radler tada rado pijem,to su piva koja piti smijem.Za dobroga pivopiju važim,ŠEPEROVO pivo svuda tražim.Vjerujte mi, istina je živa,rado pijem ja ESEKER piva.Mnogo sreće u Osijeku gradu,pivarcima u njihovom radu.Da nikada za štrajk ne bi znali,ni u krizu financijsku pali.Da im kasa bude uvijek puna,za blokadu ne znali računa.Nek' radnici u pivari radei redovno da primaju plaće.Eto, sve sam lijepo objasnio,samo da bih nagradu dobio.Sada znate želja mi je živa,da osvojim koju bocu piva.Svi prisutni ovdje sretni bilii Osječko pivo u slast pili.Jer Osječko priprema se pivo,to vam jasno veli pjesnik Ivo:u kristalnoj našoj čistoj vodi,zato svakom pivopiji godi.Sada idem vrlo dobre volje,u pivaru na Zeleno Polje,da se javim gospođi Boženiza nagradu da uruči meni.
May all your days be lively, full of cheer:the poet Benak Ivo greets you here.Slavonsko veselje I often view,where tambura men make every wish come true.Goran presents it, broadcast live on air;Osječko beer's the sponsor of the affair.They keep up their commitments, as they should,and there in front of Laco two bottles stood.Osječko, which we gladly drink, you'll findis the oldest in Croatia of its kind.About the brewery I'll tell you more:its old foundations date from days of yore.Would you, my dear good people, care to sayhow many years the brewery counts today?In one year it was built, as I can tell:six hundred ninety-seven, mark it well.The seventeenth century it was, all told,in Osijek, in ŠAMAČKA street of old.Some twenty paces from the Drava, thereŠEPER built his brewery with care.When after lunch I've had a hearty bite,I gladly drink Osječko, the white.But when I'm at the wheel, and driving live,then I drink only BAJKER, so I can drive.Then Radler, too, I gladly drink, for theyare beers that I'm allowed on such a day.I pass as quite a decent beer man, too;I look for ŠEPER's beer the whole world through.Believe me, it's as true as true can be:ESEKER beer's a favourite for me.Much luck in Osijek to all the crewof brewers, in the work they have to do.May they not ever know a strike, nor fallinto financial crisis, not at all.May their cash box be full at every turn,and blocked accounts be nothing they should learn.And may the workers in the brewery stayat work, and regularly get their pay.There, now I've made it all as clear as day,just so a prize might come along my way.So now you know my wish, alive and clear:to win myself a bottle or two of beer.May all who're present here be glad and bright,and drink Osječko beer with sheer delight.Because Osječko beer is brewed, you know(the poet Ivo tells you plainly so),in our clear crystal water, fresh and pure;that's why it suits each beer man, to be sure.And now in the best of spirits off I goto the brewery at Zeleno Polje, soI'll call on Mrs Božena, and seeif she will hand the prize across to me.
