Šokicu sam napisao davno,još je moja mladost divno cvala,s njom sam često nastupao javno,svu ljepotu Šokica mi dala.
"Šokica" I wrote so long ago,when my youth was blooming, bright and fine;with her I performed in many a show,all her beauty Šokica made mine.
Na festival glazbe Pitomače,da se pjeva stigla je Šokica.Vrjednije to se sada shvaćai prati ju sa tambure žica.
Pitomača's festival has broughtŠokica, a song for them to sing;now her worth is more than once was thought,and she's carried by the tambura string.
Tu je pjesmu uglazbio Tuca,a Witovsky sad Šokicu pjeva.Od sreće mi srce snažno kuca,a milina u grudima sijeva.
Tuca put the music to the song,and Witovsky's singing her today;now my heart with happiness beats strong,and sweet lightning through my breast makes its way.
