Nudim burad za rakiju
Rakija Barrels on Offer
The years have come to knock at my door too;so much of life is wiped clean off the slate. That's why I'm putting out this ad of mine:I've no more need of many things of late.
For rakija I'm selling, nearly new,a barrel, seventy litres, built just right, and one that's smaller, its young brother, too,of sixteen litres; both are watertight.
These barrels are of Slavonian mulberry, the hoops as good as new — a lovely sight;and he who drinks the more of what's insidesails off in bliss to seventh heaven's height.
Penzija mala, loše se piše.Burad prodajem, treba mi lova, jer prije neg' dođu jesenje kiše,da popravim starog na kući krova.
My pension's small, the writing's on the wall.I'm selling barrels, cash is what I need, because, before the autumn rains can fall,I've got to fix the old roof, with all speed.
If only I'm in favour with Fortuna, these fine small casks I'll give you for your ownfor just three hundred and forty kuna;and you can ring me on this telephone.
Ako me kupac nazove pravi.Na: 6 5 2 8 2 1na taj telefon neka se javi.
If a true buyer's out there, let him tryat: 6 5 2 8 2 1,and ring that phone to give me his reply.
