Nedjelja je i veselje traje
Occasional verse and dedications
It's Sunday, and the Merriment Goes On
Zabavno je SLAVONSKO VESELJE.Gledatelje kad Goran pozdravi,a slušatelj javi svoje želje, zatim Jeršek svoj šešir popravi.
SLAVONSKO VESELJE's a merry show:when Goran greets the viewers watching there, and listeners phone to let their wishes know, then Jeršek sets his hat right, with some care.
A subotom slušam Ceciliju,sa opojnim glasom kad se javi.Tamburaši ispunjaju želje, razno slavlje subotom se slavi.
On Saturdays I listen to Cecilijawhenever she comes on with her heady voice;the tamburica players grant requests, and Saturdays bring feasts where folk rejoice.
Cecilija kad pjeva k'o prije,o macanu što škaklja tabane.Njezin pogled ugodno me grije,a osmijehom uljepšava dane.
When Cecilija sings as once beforeabout the tomcat tickling someone's feet, her glance still warms me gently to the core, and with her smile she makes the days more sweet.
Džentlmeni kad pjevaju znano:ne budi me, majko, tako rano.To mi vrati onu ljubav staru, tad zaigra srce u BEĆARU!
When Džentlmeni sing the well-known strain,"Don't wake me early, mother," once again,it brings me back the old love that I knew, and then the BEĆAR's heart will dance anew!
Šokadijo mili zavičaju, najljepša si u zemaljskom raju.Svako selo ima tamburaša,lijepih cura i čarobnih snaša!
Šokadija, my dear homeland, my own,in earthly paradise the fairest known! Each village has its tamburica band, fair girls and charming wives on every hand!
Na TV-u divno žice ječe,tamburaši sviraju po želji.Gledatelja to je divna veče',na T V-u SLAVONSKO VESELJE!
On TV the strings resound and ring, the players play requests for you and me;what lovely evenings for the viewers they bring:SLAVONSKO VESELJE on TV!
