Najveća neznalica
The Greatest Know-Nothing
Najveća je šofer neznalica, dok ga ljubi autostoperica.Što će dobit on nema u vidu,možda lues, a možda i sidu.Još tisuću on ne zna sitnica, eto, to je šofer neznalica.
Who in this world knows least of anyone? The driver, counting troubles one by one. While dozing in his cab, worn out and sore, the driver doesn't know what lies in store. He doesn't know where he'll drive at first light, nor where he'll have to sleep this coming night. He doesn't know where he will meet a cop,nor what he'll have to eat at the motel stop. While dreaming of a cosy bathroom, hewashes himself in the motel's WC.He cannot figure out his boss at all,and never knows if his pay's big or small. He can't tell if he'll get his truck put right,or when his home again will come in sight.Often he doesn't know what freight he's got,or whether with his wife it's peace or not. While on the road he wastes his youthful life, the driver doesn't know who's kissing his wife. The driver's the greatest know-nothing by farwhen some girl hitchhiker kisses him in the car. What he might catch is nowhere in his view:perhaps it's syphilis, perhaps AIDS too.He doesn't know a thousand trifles more;and that's the driver, know-nothing to the core!
