Topli pozdrav vama svima želimi skupštini vašoj se veselim.

Warmest greetings, all of you, I send,and your meeting gladdens me no end.

Slušam divne rezultate vaše,dobar uspjeh i smjernice rada,to što, Zvonko, vaš predsjednik kaže,ja čestitam vama svima sada.

Now I hear the fine results you've made,your success, the course your work will steer;what your president, Zvonko, has conveyed:I congratulate you all right here.

Za sva djela što ste učinili,svojim radom u godini ovoj,ja vam želim uspjeha još više,ostvarili u godini novoj.

For the deeds that you have carried outwith your labour in this passing year,I wish you still more success to come,won in the new year that's drawing near.

A skupština u ovome času,neka novu izabere Vladu,bila ona sa puno elanai uspjeha u budućem radu.

Ovog ljeta više se družili,S udrugama sportski takmičili.Mirovinu još veću imali,da bi bolji standard uživali.

This year may you more often meet and greet,and at sports with other clubs compete;may your pension be yet bigger still,so a better life your days may fill.

Sto godina živjeli i više,u ljubavi proživjeli vijek,služilo vas i zdravlje i sreća:ne krećite putićem za FENEK!

Napomena. Fenek je stari naziv za Ulicu Republike u Petrijevcima, koja vodi od župne crkve sv. Petra i Pavla do groblja. Ime potječe od posjeda Fenekalve na otoku između Drave i Karašice, čiji su se stanovnici preselili u Petrijevce.

Translator's note. A greeting to the annual assembly of the pensioners' association in Petrijevci, near Valpovo. He calls the association a “Republic” and its committee a “Government”. Fenek is the old name for Ulica Republike in Petrijevci, the street from the parish church of Saints Peter and Paul to the cemetery; it comes from Fenekalve, an old estate on an island between the Drava and the Karašica whose people moved to Petrijevci.
