Matici umirovljenika grada Donji Miholjac
To the Pensioners' Union of the Town of Donji Miholjac
TOPLI POZDRAV VAM SVIM ŽELIMI SKUPŠTINI VAŠOJ SE VESELIM!
WARMEST GREETINGS, ALL OF YOU, I SEND,AND YOUR MEETING GLADDENS ME NO END!
Slušam divne rezultate vaše,dobar uspjeh i smjernice rada,to što, Mira, predsjednica kažeja čestitam svima vama sada.
Now I hear the fine results you've made, your success, the course your work will steer;all that Mira, president, conveyed:I congratulate you all right here.
I prošla je godinica ova,sve uspjehe od prošloga rada,u toku je i skupština nova, nek' uspjeha bude k'o do sada.
And this year of yours has gone its way, with the triumphs that your work has won;now the new assembly meets today:may success go on as it has done.
I skupština u ovome času, nek' podrži tu sadašnju Vladu, jer će ista sa puno elana, vodit društvo u budućem radu.
Let the meeting, at this very hour, back the Government that holds the reins, for with plenty of élan it willlead the club's work on to future gains.
Za sva djela što ste učinili, svojim radom u godini ovoj,ja vam želim uspjeha još više,ostvarili u godini novoj.
For the deeds that you have carried outwith your labour in this passing year,I wish you still more success to come, won in the new year that's drawing near.
Vaše društvo u sastavu ima, zbor pjevački zvane "Miholjanke",koje vodi gospođa Stanišić,vašem društvu počasne su dike.
Your society counts in its ranksa singing choir, the "Miholjanke" by name, led by Mrs Stanišić, and theyare your club's own honour, pride and fame.
Kada pjesma nježno dušu dira,da bi srcu toplu ljubav dala:poštovana Ljerka Stanišić je,„Miholjanke“ časno uvježbala.
When the song so gently stirs the soul, giving warmth of love to every heart,it's our respected Ljerka Stanišićwho trained the "Miholjanke" in their art.
U nastupu svojim toplim glasom,ni sirene nisu im na diku, zato svome dragome Miholjcu, one tvore božanstvenu sliku.
In performance, with their voices warm, not the Sirens could with them compete;and so, for their own dear Miholjac, they form a picture heavenly and sweet.
Budite i dalje tako vrijedni,u radu će vama uspjeh doći,a zaštitnik vašega Miholjcabit će vama uvijek u pomoći.
Keep on being diligent as now,in your work success will come your way,and the patron saint of Miholjacwill be there to help you every day.
Sve najbolje ja vam sada želim.Ne bilo vam sreći nikad kraja.A penziju primali što duže,Ne tražite brzo vrata raja!
All the very best I wish you now,may your joy be endless, ever great;draw your pension long, and take your time:don't go looking for heaven's gate!
