Ja volim tihe,zvjezdane noći.I topli kutakljubavnog žara.Skromni, mali,tihi, mili dom.Na obali mora,u zaljevu tihomili pokraj rijeke,na rubu šumarka,s vrtom cvijeća,punom divnih šara.Radost male djecei voljenu ženuu naručju mom.
I love the quiet,starry nights,and a warm cornerwhere love's embers glow.Small and modest,a quiet, homely nest,on the shore of the sea,in a bay at rest,or beside a river,at the edge of a grove,with a flower gardenwhere lovely colours grow.The joy of little childrenand my beloved wifeheld close against my breast.
