Ja sam Hrvat, to morate znati,jer hrvatska rodila me matii sa svojim mlijekom nadojila,u hrvatskom duhu odgajala.
I am a Croat, this you ought to know,born of a Croat mother long ago;and with her milk she nursed me as I grew,and reared me in the Croatian spirit too.
Ja hrvatsku trobojnicu nosim,što sam Hrvat time se ponosimtaj sam ponos od malena znao,svoj bi život za Hrvatsku dao.
I bear the Croatian tricolour on high,and proud to be a Croatian am I;I've known this pride since I was very small;I'd give my life for Croatia, give my all.
Hrvatsku su mnogi svojatali:Turci, Srbi, Nijemci i Mađari.Hrvati su ginuli u boju,braneć' hrabro domovinu svoju.
Many have claimed Croatia as their prize:the Turks, Serbs, Germans, Hungarians likewise.Croatians fell in battle, made their stand,defending bravely their own native land.
Za oružje svoj novac sam dao,trebalo je i nije mi žao.Sa gorčinom srce mi se puni,jer su novac uzeli tajkuni.
I gave my money for the arms we'd need;it had to be, I don't regret the deed.But now my heart is filled with bitter pain,because tycoons have made that cash their gain.
Pati narod u Hrvatskoj sada,svuda kriza, sve manje je rada.Za boljitak nestala je nada,čelična bi tu trebala Vlada.
The people in Croatia suffer today;there's crisis everywhere, work slips away;all hope of better times has gone astray:a Government of steel should hold full sway.
