The KUD's Twentieth Anniversary
Na sjevernom dijelu Slavonije,u ljepoti naše Podravine,na tom mjestu Marijanci stoje,mnoga ljeta od postanka broje.
Up in Slavonia's northern reaches, whereour Podravina spreads its beauty fair,there Marijanci stands, and there has stayed,counting the many years since it was made.
Tu općina odavno postojii šest sela oko sebe roji.Politiku naprednu vodili,strukturu su infra izgradili.
The municipal seat has long been here,six villages swarm round it, far and near.Their forward-looking policy was planned,and infrastructure built across the land.
A za ove općinske vrline,zaslužan je načelnik općine.Marjančani svoj su obol dali,ustanove mnoge osnovali.
For all these civic virtues, every one,the mayor deserves the credit for what's done.The Marijanci folk have given their shareand founded many institutions there.
Marjančanke aktivne su bile:KUD "SLAVONSKA VILA" obnovileI provode stare običaje,pa kultura u Marijancima traje.
Marijanci's women have been active, too:they gave KUD "SLAVONSKA VILA" life anew,and keep alive the customs of the past,so culture in Marijanci will last.
U tom KUD-u plešu folkloraši,a prate ih dobri tamburaši.Za uspjeli su davanja velika,ovaj KUD je svome selu dika.
The folklore dancers dance there in that troupe,and good tamburica players back the group.Their great success took giving of their best;the KUD's its village's pride above the rest.
To što čine časni umjetnici:Kunišinci i selo MarijanciU svom radu uspjeha imaju,Slavonijom često nastupaju.
All this is done by honoured artists who,from Kunišinci and Marijanci too,have had success in all their work, and sothey often tour Slavonia with their show.
Za Petrovo smotra je folklora,tu ljepotu doživjet se mora.Za uspjehe KUD-a Marijanci,Darka Alšić ponosni su znači.
On St Peter's Day the folklore show is here,a beauty that you have to see and hear.For all the triumphs Marijanci's KUD has won,they're proud of Darka Alšić, everyone.
Na Čimenu kad zaigra kolo,to poslušaj, moj voljeni Lolo.Ova pjesma snimljena na traci,to je himna mjesta Marijanci!
When on the čimen the kolo whirls around,my darling lad, just listen to that sound!This song, recorded now on tape, is knownas the anthem Marijanci calls its own!
