Pišem knjige od mladosti rane,ovaj puta tiskana je šesta.Iz Belišća pomoć mi je dalaTuristička Zajednica mjesta.
I've written books since youth, since long ago,and now the sixth of them has just been printed.From Belišće the help I needed came:the town's own Tourist Board gave it, unstinted.
Svim ljudima iz te zajednice,najtoplije od srca im HVALA!A posebno Gibičaru Dragi,prijatelju što mi mladost dala.
To all the people working on that Board,my warmest THANKS, straight from the heart, are due!And most of all to Drago Gibičar,the friend my youth once gave me, tried and true.
Još se sjećam prošlosti daleke,divnih dana koje smo proveli.U TEATRU čitao sam pjesme,družili se kao ljudi zreli.
I still remember that far-distant past,the lovely days we spent, the times we knew;there in the THEATRE I read my poems,and kept good company, as grown men do.
Promocije pravio je za me,najsretniji ja sam tada bio.Da imadem dobrog prijatelja,oduvijek sam ja u duši snio.
He put on launches of my books for me;I was the happiest of all men then.To have a friend, a good one, all my own,was what my soul had dreamed, time and again.
I starački dovukli se dani,još nam srca ukrotila nije.Ja vjerujem naše prijateljstvoda će vjerno ostat kao prije.
And now the days of age have dragged along,but still our hearts they have not tamed as yet;I do believe our friendship will remainas faithful as it was when first we met.
